Heroes come in all shapes and sizes. Here at the Central Oklahoma Humane Society, heroes take the forms of our dedicated fosters and volunteers. Without their love and compassion, our mission to save local dogs and cats would be impossible.
With spring on its way, we’re in need of these heroes now more than ever. We typically see an influx of puppies and kittens this time of year and while our intake numbers expand, the sizes of our facilities stay the same. That’s why we rely so much on fosters and volunteers to help shelter and care for these pets. Here’s what we’re asking for:
- Our new Bottle Baby Nursery is opening soon, and we’re looking for volunteers. As the weather warms up, we’re expecting a surge in puppies and kittens less than 6 weeks old. We’ll be feeding and caring for them until they’re ready for adoption. More information here.
- We also need people willing to foster pets for a few weeks until they’re ready for adoption. Our foster families help us save thousands of dogs and cats every year! Fosters receive food and supplies, medical support and the satisfaction of knowing that they’ve helped save a life. Learn more here.
Won’t you help us? Fosters and volunteers are essential to our organization and our pets. Your support and generosity will allow us to save more lives every single day. Please consider getting involved today. Share your home. Save a life. Be a hero.
