No matter what your interests or skills, we appreciate you at OK Humane and want to share with you the many, many ways you can help animals in the Oklahoma City community! When most people think of volunteering, they think of walking dogs or brushing cats. When they think of donating, they think of giving money. Well, maybe those aren’t things you can or want to do–and that’s okay! Because we have SO many other ways you can help! Be a Foster Parent
The Central Oklahoma Humane Society relies on foster homes to house and provide temporary care for the dogs and cats in our adoption program. A foster home/foster parent is an individual, couple or family who provides temporary care, shelter and love for an OK Humane animal(s) while it is waiting to be adopted. Foster homes are an absolutely vital part of saving the lives of animals in Oklahoma City; the more foster homes we have, the more animals we can save: it’s as simple as that! Volunteer
Our devoted volunteers help keep our lifesaving services and programs running, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. And so do the animals!! Click here to learn about the many different volunteer opportunities with OK Humane.
Donate
Without the financial support of companies and individuals in our community, OK Humane could not exist. But we depend on you for in-kind donation support as well! Something as simple as picking up an extra roll of paper towels or bottle of bleach when you are at the store can make a big difference. Click here to learn more about monetary and in-kind donations.
