In Memory of Havi

Havi and Dop

Havi M. Dennis, our daughter, lived 11 blessed and wonderful years. Havi had a big heart and loved animals. Here are a few stories we want to share about Havi.

Many years ago we were having lunch with friends. They had two dogs; Pluto and Dop. Dop was lying at Havi’s feet. Cristina asked Havi if she liked the dog. “No, the dog likes me!” Havi replied, smiling.

She loved animals and they loved her. Last year she set up a lemonade stand in the front yard. She donated all the money to the Central Oklahoma Humane Society. Her love for animals and for life was inspiring.

In Memory of Lucy

We were captivated by Lucy’s beauty and gentle nature from the first time we laid eyes on her. Each day with Lucy was a true gift. We were lucky to have her as part of our family for over ten years. Lucy had several illnesses, but she never complained. She always greeted us with a wagging tail and her cold pink nose.

Even though Lucy would run from a leaf blowing across the lawn, she made it her job to protect us. She loved going for walks, but only if both of us went along. She would not budge from our lawn unless we both took her for a walk. Lucy always waited for us at the door when we were away. We were a “pack of three.”

During her early years, Lucy loved to fetch the newspaper. If our paper had not yet been delivered and Lucy spotted a paper in a neighbor’s driveway, she would proudly retrieve it for us. We had to return many newspapers.

Lucy always made us smile and continues to do so through many wonderful memories.

We miss her. Lucy definitely earned her angel wings.
