3 hours left and I am chomping at the bit to be anywhere but within a 20-yard radius of where I am now! I didn’t know we’d have a blog today. So mostly I wrapped it up yesterday. I write more in depth about the experience later, but without the 20 minutes time constraint. Not to mention a keyboard instead of tired fingers and a flimsy notepad. I have about filled this ledger up with my rambling, only a few pages left. Thanks again for reading and everyone should myspace friend me or add me on facebook.  myspace.com/neverbeenwitty

It’s starting to rain again which shouldn’t surprise me seeing as how that’s been the dish all week. I’m more mentally exasperated than physically tired. I’m actually surprised at how good I do feel in spite of sleeping on plywood in the middle of downtown in September. I would ask for more votes but by the time this hits the interwebs it’ll be all but moot anyway. All my mind can really even think about is shower. Everything is a distant second. I really have no idea how this is going to turn out, but I’m not getting my hopes up. Thanks for coming out last night, mom, dad, Mike, Kaylee, Josh and Sarah. This has been an intense week and we’ve done a lot of good, and now that it’s at its close, it has still been worth it. Most of the time, it felt like it never ends, and with 3 hours to go, it still feels that way. I never got to proofread any of my blogs have been incoherent. I always wrote til they took it from my hands. Once more, a big thanks to everyone for putting this on and all the supporters. Thanks to KJ103 for being our free marketing team and a special thanks to everyone that voted for yours truly. I’ll see everyone outside at the gate.

With deep regard,

John

Good Afternoon All!

It’s 3 o clock on the dot which means only 21 more hours to go.  That may not seem like a lot, but I assure you it’s an eternity out here.  Somehow I have been skipped the last seven out of seven times anyone has been here to report on what’s going on.  I only hope everyone is voting enough to make up for the missed face time.  All I can do is sit and watch the birds that uhtwe on to the hill behind my doghouse and something occured to me today.  They say that the early bird gets the worm, but from what I can tell the agressive bird steals the worm from the early bird everytime.  Anyway, I’m glad it’s almost over, but at the same time it’s been an inspiring and awakening experience that will impact many, many people, myself included of course.  I hear we have raised over $15,000 dollars so far and that’s amazing.  I hope everyone is getting the word to vote out.  There has been much speculation from people that have come by and everyone seems to say something different.  I guess we’ll know soon enough.  Again I can’t thank everyone enough for their persistant and continued support!  An astronaught who has an office overlooking us came down to wish us luck and talk about his experiences.  He was back up on the Apollo 13 mission and spent 9 months in the space lab which was a predecessor to the ISS (International Space Station)  He spent 3 months in a room with 3 others in a space the size of our outside partition.  Amazing!  I have spent more time outdoors this week than in the last year all together.  I think I’ll be staying in my bed all next week.  I can’t wait to basically catch upon the world once we are released back into the wild.  I think this is the last blog so thanks yet AGAIN everyone, I can’t wait to read all of your comments.  If anyone has a job out there in anything music or media related please let me know.  Please Please Please vote and vote again after midnight tonight.  I’ll see everyone tomorrow.  Vote Vote Vote.

Sincerely Puck

Vote! vote vote vote vote

Good Morning World! This is the last full day and I can hardly believe how happy I am!! I slept about 2 hours last night from mixture of noise from the drunks staggering around coyote ugly and the fact my stomach is full of tightly corded knots.  I’ve said it once and I’ll say it at least two more of these, Please vote! Call all your friends and tell them to vote, it’s the final haul.  I haven’t heard from my Brother or dad so I guess everything went as expected at my mother’s surgery so that’s great!  thank you to all the well wishers.

In an unexpected turn of events we lost one more person; princess.  I thought we’d all be here till the bitter end.  I truly and honestly cannot wait to walk somewhere without the metallic clink of chains following around like a ghost.  Chaining animals in truly a crime against nature.  I hope everyone I know is going through every name in their contact list and every friend of the internet to get me through this.  of everyone’s support has been phenominal and intergal to this whole process and goes to show that the tenacity of the human spirit and the ability for people to come together around a common cause is amazing.  Don’t forget to wake up early and vote or vote after midnight tonight because I misuse it will be a close finish and we are down to the wire.  Everyone who has supported this event has my gratitude and heartfelt thanks.  I couldn’t do this without you.  It’s time to go again but please vote, vote, vote, and vote some more.  Bis Mike V Go run around town and find every computer you can.

Love Puck.

Good afternoon everyone! Cannot wait for Saturday. I’m spending all day trying to read people’s body language to decipher the meaning of snippets of whispers that get carried on the chasing breed. My least favorite thing in the world is not knowing. I have always had an immense to desire to learn and acquire new knowledge, so sitting here being isolated from all sources of information is probably the hardest part of this whole experience. You spend the day teetering between absolute away and floating in a sea of uncertainty. I don’t think my mother has gone into the hospital yet so hopefully she can read this update before going in as she prone to worrying it seems. If I was anyone who knows me I would probably be worried too. It’s not often I spend long stretches of time outdoors exposed to the elements, let alone a week. Thanks to everyone who has comeby and said they enjoy reading the blog and I hope they are spreading the word. I think Butch Cassidy’s people got him in trouble for spoofing IP addresses. Trust me everyone I know its been a long week, but this is the home stretch so to speak, so please just re-double your efforts and really get the votes up these last few days. Don’t forget to get up early and vote on Saturday because every vote counts!!!!

I’m in  a desperate kind of need for this awesome car and really hope to come out on top.  Can’t wait to actually sit in a chair and eat a meal with something other than luke warm water. Tonight is the premiere of all my favorite TV shows so everyone watch for me, 30 Rock, the office, Community and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Not knowing what’s going on in World news for a week makes me feel like a caveman.

Time to go yet again. Please for my sake, and the sake of my continued quasi-sanity, vote and call all your friends, and get a massive Puck Push going.

Love,

John (Puck)

Hospital Day is No good.  My parents came by to see me last night Just as i was laying down so at least I got to wave goodbye.  Hope everything goes as well as can be expected mom, Love you.

The only update we have been given is that supposedly the site is getting 6000+ unique views daily which is crazy.  I honestly expected about half that for the whole week.  I guess that goes to show what happens when one makes assumptions based on no evidence.  Last night was quite restless and I did Not get much sleep.  I haven’t seen myself in a mirror is Six Days and honestly at this point I’m sure I look like a trainwreck crash in a Hurricane.  Speaking of Hurricane I was Down in Baton Rouge for Both Katrina and Gustav.  I spent 8 days with no electricity or event windows that I would open to air out my stagnant Room.  This Is worse.  My car windshield was cracked from side to side during that storm as well.  I think my Transmission is finally going as well from what my dad said last night so if ever there was a time for this it is now.  I thought my sleeping Bag was waterproof when I fell asleep with my feet out, seeing as how I’m 6′1 and the doghouse is about 5 foot.  Turns out once again my assumptions have left me in the wrong to my detriment.  Guess I’m two for the two today.  Christy told us that two people spoke to each other but they aren’t sure who.  I’m not a detective, but I think If you knew a specific number then the people would also have to be known. Oh well, all I know is it wasn’t me.  Time to leave again everyone.  Thanks for all the support out there and keep it up!  Everyone is in my thoughts, and right now my thoughts are all I have.  See everyone Saturday.  Hope everything goes well mom!  Everyone vote vote vote.  Love Puck.

Firstoff, Christy has asked me to ask my mother to please lay off with the phone calls and emails.

I know you are worried, but I am super good, just bored out of my mind.  Instead of bothering her please go be proactive a better way and garner votes for me please.

I have taken to naming the birds: Loki, Birdo, Matthew (Neil Gaiman reference) and Battle-Bird.

Sorry I can’t go to the hospital with you tomorrow, but I’ll see you when I get out, Love you.

Today for some reason, has been the longest day so far without a doubt.

Everyone that comes by seems to think I should be pleased the rain is gone and when in fact I wish it’d stay.

Day 5 and for once in my life I’m coming short of things to say.  Everyday is more or less identical only longer.

I don’t have any idea how I’m doing in votes, since they don’t tell us anything, but I feel as though I need at least a million more to win.

That’s hyperbdic, but still everyone go get me some votes please, it’ll make my day, week, month and year.

It’s really up to everyone I know to make this thing happen so please get it done for me.

The camera man, Bill Merickal, this morning was really nice and played some Native America flute for us at around 6 this morning.

He has a dog named Anubis, which is the Egyptian God of the Dead & has A face like a dog, so i thought that was clever.

Speaking of clever dog names I can’t believe I didn’t think of Paulou when I chose my name!

time to go again.  Can’t wait for Saturday.

Come visit!  Love John (Puck)

Very sleepy seeing as how the news was

ointere was almost light at 4:50 am

this morning.  I am glad the sun rolled

back in to replace the sun.  First thing I want

to do upon leaving here is take one hundred consecutive showers.  We

the constant las does little to wash away tudays.

I was thinking about the concept of “blogging” last night

and how our culture turnd diaries for girls & journals for

boys into one uniser congvenate that is acceptale for

both.  Everyone is ecsisint and no one seens

want to leave before Saturday.  Once

more I hope everyone is advocating hard for votes

and is keeping track of the total.  #1 is the only

place that will do any good I feels

I miss everyone and the day dug

dog herd.  I will see both soon.  I also

hope everyone is doing what I asked yesterday; it’s up

to them to make this a sucess!  We

just got the halfway mark

Who knew seven days was so long.

In the Ring it was “seven days” then buck the

scary little girl was crawling out of the TV in

what seemed like nutse.  I guess life imitates

art and not crappy, second case horror movies.

I’ve tried to abstain from looking at the

clocktower looming overhead since it only seems

to dissapoint.  Allright they are taking

them again.  Puck #1 please!

Vote for me! I think I have subdivided the hours, minutes and seconds left too many times for my own well being. I have never been much for numbers, but these are my least favorite to date. My mother is having surgery Thursday and I will still be locked up here. Hopefully I can go see her in a nice new car and all will be well. This has got to be the single most trying thing I have done. This event is going to come down to a mulitway tie. So please if you have voted, vote tomorrow and everyday. Tell everyone you see to vote for me. Please Please Please with sugar on top! Today is excrutiatingly muggy and humid outside which makes finding comfort nearly impossible. I will make it to Saturday without A doubt but I am scared it will all be for naught. Sorry I left a bunch of people out of my video blog this morning, but bare in mind it was 7:45am. Mrs. Becca Pearson I hope you are being a one woman voting pimp. A veritable moveon.org . Mikey. U get some printouts and go Door to Door in every neighborhood. Sir Login to my facebook my password is saved or its the usual mom knows +123 and send the link to everyone online. I left my phone on, go send every single person in it a text message with link and tell them to vote everyday. Maybe I just feel underrepresented because I don’t know many people in this city. I never really nervous and I don’t think i like it very much. Thanks to everyone that has stopped by to wish us luck or just waved. I think everyone is going a little stir crazy but I guess that is to be expected. Time feels asymtical, infinitely approaching zero but never getting there. I don’t know what else to write right now since all I can think about is the unknown vote counts. Again, please please everyone vote and tell everyone for the next three days. Sit them down and type it for them if you have to. Go everywhere with a computer. I’ll come visit Baton Rouge when I win.

Much Love Everyone John (AKA Puck)

The lack of knowledge about the vote count is making me apprehensive.  Everyone keeps asking it it’s hard to not speak, and it is, but it’s far out shadowed by doing nothing.  Who knew ya could get a headache from trying to sleep too much?  Somehow I ended up with a delicious Brisket BBQ Sandwich for lunch, so that was great.  Other than that it’s like having your soul sucked through a straw all day.  Truly lucked out on the weather though.  It’s a great grey blanket for the sky.  My placard on my doghouse has refused to stay attached from day one and it remains in the mud.  More votes please, and don’t forget to vote everyday.  Everyone get on your facebook chat to Hustle people in real time please :)  Today has definitely been the slowest Day and the psychological effects of solitary confinement make it the world a deceptive place.  I know time moves at a fixed rate defined by Planktime, but nonetheless it feels slower and slower.  Nevertheless I’m staying optimistic and confident that everyone is doing all that they can to insure my win @ the polls.  They keep a bright flood light on all night and I wish that was toned down a bit.  It’s always daytime it seems.  I want to have some of my pug dogs up here so maybe someone could bring one. 3 minute warning again.  So as usual thanks everyone  Keep up the good work and be spreading the Gospel of Puck Day & Night because I’ll be here holding down the fort quite literally.

Monday AM Post, 9/14

September 14th, 2009

I have never been much of an “outdoors” person and these last two days only goes to reaffirm my long standing dislike of the not-so-great outdoors. Writing a blog in pen and then having someone type it is similar to taking a picture of a picture, it occurred to me last night. Being in the middle of the city’s people, but unable to speak, is oddly paradoxical at times. Sorry if my morning “blog” seems disjointed at times, it’s not often I find myself writing with pen nowadays, let alone at 8:45 in the morning.

It was seven types of frozen last night and my bones probably won’t soon forget.  I’ve been getting a good amount of feedback from everyone that has spoken to me saying they heard me on KJ103, and that’s great. Everyone should come out, if only to wave on the way to a warm bar and cold beer hear in bricktown.

TRL-style shoutout to my “street team” across the Great Plains and down in the gulf.

I wish they’d let me keep my leftover lunch since the only friends I have been able to make are these birds that roam the small hill out behind my “estate.”

3 minute warning….

Thanks to everyone. Mike and Kaylee it was good to see you two yesterday. Swing back by and tweet the deets to me later. Be back later today.

Until then–

Puck

This is line blogging in the vaccuum of space. No sound and nothing happening but the slow glacial shift of time.

They announced that we have 30 minutes to complete one sentence in our blog. Sounds like the “No Child Left Behind” Standards Board had been by. My toothpaste was found floating in the space debris so that’s a wonderful thing. My back is very upset with me and I’m sure he and my joints are forming a coalition of the unwilling. This is more of a “My life as a Cat” Challenge. Since I have slept 16 or so hours today. By sleep I am refering to the tossing and turning I am doing on ply board. Baton Rouge I hope you are getting the word out en masse.

No “hanging chad” type situations are wanted, Mickey Vi Kaylee go with Josh and Sarah and work some wizardry. Rob and Santho please also work some of that charm you two are known for.

Tiny Behr organize said streetteam or I’ll dissapear into the ether and be sad.

Mom & Dad thanks again, for the “creature comforts”, that Phrase was Never so Apropos.

New Rule: All of my tiny Pug Dogs are staying in 24 Hours A Day.

I Do Hope this weather persists; its quite nice. Rain & Clouds trumps Sun & heat Nine out of Nine times. I’m all out of words.

Hope everyone had a nice Day. Vote more. It’ll make you feel better. Promise.

Day #2 Blog one

Long, long night.  Seemingly endless steam of cars, lights and “woo’s!” coming from the surrounding bars and people.  Without a shower I feel like a scarecrow placed here to scare away nosy trespassers.  Doing well thanks to the sleeping bag that arrived just as I closed my eyes for “sleep” last night.  I hope everyone is getting the vote out for me because this is going to be a long week.  Has anyone seen my toothpaste?  Thanks everyone, I’m going to try and sleep until Blog 2, puckout.

Hello blog-o-spheres, so far it has been a humbling experience. So much of who we are is defined by what we say. Having such a basic and inalienable human right ‘taken’ from you is a bracing, eye opening experience. The bitter, anxious clouds looming overhead captures the pensive atmosphere nicely. I just now received my pillow. So infinitive gratitude for this fluffy bastion of hope. Puck is from Shakespear’s, A Mid Summer Nights Dream, one of my favorite plays, not hockey. Just for clarification. They are picking these up so talk more tomorrow thanks for all the support everyone.

All about Me

September 3rd, 2009

Hi my name is Johnny and a big thanks to everyone who organized this event.  To be involved in such an unreal adventure, bringing awareness of the inhumane treatment of animals, is a rare and distinct opportunity.

I moved back to Norman from Baton Rouge, Louisiana to be back in the city where my parents live, both of whom are having surgeries.  By being here I will be available to help them with whatever they need during their recovery.  This event will, most certainly, be a very singular experience and something to reflect upon in years to come.  I wish everyone the best and I hope that everyone finds some way to support The Humane Society’s noble cause.

“Puck”

September 2nd, 2009

Why do you want to be in this contest?

I love animals which is pretty evident from the fact that I have a Pug Herd. 4 awesome Pugs (Gizmo, LG, Vegas, and Ace). I have also just moved back from college in Baton Rouge to help my parents with the house due to medical problems and surgeries they have been having. My current car in a gas guzzling 1998 Ford Mustang and would love the opportinuty to own a eco-friendly car. Not to mention there is no way I will lose, I am made for this kind of thing and love the novelty and adventure of life.

Tell us about your dog.

My family rescued the dogs I had as a child growing up (Grizzly and Dixie) from euthanasia at the local pound in Bossier City, LA. They were two wonderful friends and they brought light into our lives everyday until they passed away, rest their souls. I believe that saving a dog is one of the more noble things a person can do in their day-to-day lives.
